We recommend arriving 2 or 3 hours before your flight. The registration desks are open 3 hours before departure and close 60 minutes before the flight.

At the heart of a vast road network, it’s conveniently located for passengers coming from neighbouring countries (France, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Germany).
Taxi parking is situated in the Express car park, at only 3 minutes from the terminal. Taxis are permanently available.
Different partners work with Brussels Charleroi Airport to facilitate travelling to and from the airport. Direct connections with Belgian cities as well as neighbouring countries are available at regularly scheduled times.
The company Flibco provides bus services to several cities in Belgium at regular intervals.

You can travel to Brussels Charleroi Airport from any Belgian train station. A direct bus links Brussels Charleroi Airport to the Charleroi South train station about a 20-minute drive away from the airport.
The price of an SNCB ticket includes the train journey and bus transfer. Tickets can be bought at the automatic ticket machines in the bus car park at the airport.
For an easy and fast check-in, we recommend checking-in online. You can check-in for your flight and reserve your seat at the same time.
This service is available from 24 hours up to 60 minutes before your flight’s scheduled departure time.
After checking-in online, you can choose to either print your boarding pass or receive an electronic version on your mobile.
If you have checked-in online, and have bags to check-in, you can go to the check-in desk no later than 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
Travelling with hand luggage only? You can go straight to the boarding zone with your printed boarding pass or your mobile phone version.
Air Belgium passengers can check-in at Terminal 1 counters 2-7. The “baggage drop-off” counter is available for passengers who have already checked-in online. Luggage must be checked in no later than 60 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
At the check-in counter, you’ll be asked to show all your travel documents. After checking-in, you will receive your boarding pass.
Your departure gate, as well as flight details, will be indicated on your boarding pass. We recommend you keep an eye on the information screens in the terminal to check the gate and boarding time.
Pre-boarding takes place 60 minutes before the departure time and applies to passengers in Business and Premium class, Frequent Flyers, families travelling with young children, unaccompanied minors and passengers with reduced mobility.
Boarding begins 55 minutes before the scheduled departure time and closes 15 minutes before the flight departs.
Please note that the shopping facilities are limited after passing through border controls.
Business and Premium passengers benefit from priority access to security control via the Fast Track.
Business and Premium passengers have access to our dedicated Air Belgium lounge.

Passengers wishing to obtain a VAT refund can go to Brussels Charleroi Airport custom services, located in the departure zone.
Travelex has two exchange units in Brussels Charleroi Airport terminal: one is in the departure area (close to the Air Belgium ticket office) and the other is in the international zone (before border control).
You can reserve currency online and collect it on the day of departure. The offices are open from 8.00 am – 9.00 pm (in the departure zone) and from 5.00 am in the international zone.
There are cash points available to passengers in the public zone of terminal 1 (in the arrivals area) and outside of Terminal 2.
